About Us

Hi, I’m Tim Chapman—the founder and artist behind Set Adrift Art. Originally from Australia, I followed my heart (and a Minnesotan named Anna) across the world. In 2018, she convinced me to make the leap from Sydney to St. Paul, and I haven’t looked back since. Hence the name Set Adrift—a nod to being set adrift from my original home and finding a new one here in Minnesota.

Most of my artwork is a colorful love letter to Minnesota—fun, vibrant illustrations of the nostalgic places where people make memories. From local dive bars and iconic landmarks to serene lakeside views, each piece is meant to celebrate the charm and character of this amazing state.

You’ll also find a pop art section filled with pieces that reflect my own passions—classic cartoons, cult icons, and retro references. Not always Minnesota-focused, just stuff I think is cool.

Today, Set Adrift is a team effort—me, my amazing wife Anna, and our two rescue dogs, Rocco and Luca (you might spot them hidden in a few of our prints).

We love meeting people at art fairs, hanging out with our furry crew, grabbing a beer at our local spot (shoutout to Sweeney’s), and cooking up a storm at home.
